1949
George F. Oberer and son, George R. Oberer Sr. founded the Oberer Excavating Company in Dayton, Ohio.
1950
Oberer Excavating Company expanded into large, heavy construction.
1952
Oberer Construction Company formed, building bridges, highways, sewer and water systems, and subdivisions throughout 8 mid-western states.
1960's
Began developing single and multifamily residential communities.
1969
Completed construction on Hueston Woods Lodge
1970s
Oberer expanded into commercial construction.
1980s
Oberer expanded into Property Management.
1985
George R. Oberer Jr. takes over as CEO from his father, George R. Oberer Sr.
1999
Completed construction on Valle Greene Kroger
2000
Named Dayton Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association.
2001
Accepted the Better Business Bureau's Integrity Eclipse Award
2003
Received the Home Builders Association’s The McDaniel-Zengel Leadership Award. Recognized as one of the nation's top 400 builders.
2005
Accepted the Dayton Business Journal Real Estate Superstars Award. Ranked among Dayton's largest privately held companies.
2006
Honored at International Builder Show by the National Association of Home Builder.
2013
Begin development on Cornerstone of Centerville.
2016
Fourth Generation joins Oberer Companies.
